THE ONLINE VETTING PROCESS FOR THE PHSSR AGENDA IS NOW CLOSED
The field of public health services and systems research (PHSSR) plays a prominent role in addressing critical limitations that exist in the U.S. public health infrastructure and strives to provide a strong evidence base to assess the system’s effectiveness and support system improvements.
Drawing on the valuable insights and priority needs that have emerged from recent collaborative forums, existing research agendas, and the body of PHSSR literature, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the University of Kentucky National Coordinating Center for PHSSR(NCC PHSSR) seek to assess the current state of PHSSR and set forth an updated research agenda. The research agenda provides an overview of the consensus-based process being used to develop the research agenda as well as a summary of the progress made to date.
